Job Purpose

The Content Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and executing the content strategy across all digital and offline channels. This role involves creating engaging and relevant content that aligns with the company’s brand, drives traffic, and supports marketing goals. The Content Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and product, to ensure consistent messaging and high-quality content delivery.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that supports the company’s marketing and business objectives. Identify target audiences and tailor content to meet their needs and preferences.

  • Content Creation: Create, edit, and publish a wide range of content, including blog posts, articles, social media posts, newsletters, whitepapers, case studies, video scripts, and more. Ensure all content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with the company’s brand voice.

  • Content Calendar Management: Plan, organize, and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of content across various platforms. Coordinate with other departments to align content efforts with product launches, campaigns, and events.

  • SEO & Analytics: Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to increase organic traffic. Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush) to monitor content performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for future content development.

  • Social Media Management: Oversee content for social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and others. Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms. Engage with the audience and respond to comments and inquiries.

  • Content Curation: Source and curate relevant content from industry sources to share with the audience. Ensure that curated content adds value and enhances the brand’s credibility.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, design, product, and sales teams to create content that supports marketing campaigns, product launches, and other initiatives. Collaborate with external content creators, such as freelancers, agencies, and influencers, as needed.

  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all channels.

  • Content Audits: Regularly audit existing content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness. Update or repurpose content as needed to keep it fresh and aligned with current trends.

  • Budget Management: Manage the content budget, including allocating resources for content creation, tools, and outsourcing when necessary.

  • Training & Development: Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices for content creation, editing, and publishing. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and continuously improve content processes.

Job Skills

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or similar platforms.

  • Solid understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and tools for managing and scheduling content (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).

  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Behavioral Attributes

  • Knowledge of video content production and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).

  • Basic graphic design skills with tools like Adobe Photoshop or Canva.

  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact.

  • Understanding of content marketing trends and best practices.
